Joy & Sorrow At the Messiah’s Birth
1. Admired by All Nations — Before taking on the throne, the King attracted wise-men to offer gifts from far! what about the present day! Who is out there seeking the King? (v2)
2. Fight Among Nations — King of Peace brought with His birth commotion and fear among men! What about the present day! How do you feel about the birth of Christ? (v3)

* Hospital chaplain, Sister MY IP/葉美燕, HK, now undertaking her first session of chemotherapy, sends regards to all saints who are praying for her in vigilance. “Thanks be to God! He is faithful and gives me His word, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (I Co 6:20) I trust that He will protect me from side-effects and He will heal me. Glory to God! It is within His plan that my family are coming back from overseas to support me, fellow saints are sending me timely and encouraging scripture verses via SMS. The more I ponder, the more I realize the Bible is ever more precious at time of tribulations. The same verses that I used to comfort others are so real to me now, more real than ever! Before the therapy, a sister shared with me “you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. … I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” (Isaiah 46:3-4) During the therapy, I truly feel that God is holding me in His fold!

Genesis 4-6: Seth was the first spiritual heir after Abel. He was the one who began a formal worship for God and from there extending to Noah, the one man of righteousness!
