Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus. (v6)
Comfort
1. Comfort from God – Even in the worst of affliction, Paul trusted in “the God who comforts the lowly”. This is the reason why he never lost faith. (v6)
2. Comfort from Man – Comfort from heavens is delivered through a median in this world. Paul rejoiced that his brothers’ “longing, mourning, zeal”. (v7)
