Take oil in jars along with your lamps! – Ark Channel 17/02/2022 Thu Matthew 25
The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. (v4)
* Let us be responsible – lamps is also referred as torches. When walking in concert, a torch is needed. If there is enough oil, a torch can last for about 15 minutes. The wise ones are not being selfish in rejecting when asked to share oil, but because nobody can rely on others to prepare for ourselves. The parable ends with closing of doors: on God’s timetable there is a moment where we can be too late. (Tyndale’s Bible annotations)
