But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.” (v4)
* Cherish the people around you! Man’s evil nature is to be high-minded, to despise companions, friends, pastors and co-workers. We would rather search far and wide for famous teacher, to yearn for saints who have gone before us and yet ignore our Savior! The Word is not far from us and God’s angels may just be ahead of us!
* Received from an evangelical organisation in Ukraine: When the war broke out, he was called upon to dig trenches. Quoting from Proverbs 3:5-6, he encouraged everyone not to rely on their own wisdom but on the Lord, to serve Him steadfastly, to entrust their lives and future to God, trusting in HIM. The present situation, he said, would bring Ukraine closer to God!
