My God, My God, why have You forsaken me? (v34)
* When we are faced with hardships in this world, remember how our Lord spent His life. Our Lord refused to drink the wine mingled with myrrh (v. 23), intended as a narcotic drink to relieve His pain. He willingly remained in His suffering to complete His Father’s will. Do we seek help and comfort other than God? In the days of fiery trials, do we take a narcotic drink? Or do we watch and pray?
